1. Information We Collect

Account data: email, display name, handle. Race data: session logs, lap times, setup configurations, vehicle details, tire inventory. Usage data: feature interactions, crash reports. Photos: images you upload for AI identification or session attachments.

2. How We Use Your Data

To provide and improve App features including session tracking, AI coaching, and result imports. To display your public profile and shared content to other users. To send notifications you have opted into. To measure feature usage and improve the App using product-analytics events linked to your account; these capture which features and screens you use, never your race data, photos, or other racers' information.

3. AI Processing

Photos submitted for AI identification are processed by third-party AI providers (Google Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic). GPS EXIF data is stripped from all photos before processing. AI providers do not retain your images beyond the processing request. We use these providers' paid API tiers; per their API terms, submitted data is not used to train their models. AI results are cached temporarily to avoid redundant processing.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Public profile information (display name, handle, shared sessions) is visible to other VizRC users. We share data with: AI providers for feature processing, payment processors (Apple/Google) for subscriptions, and our analytics provider for account-linked usage metrics (feature interactions only). We may disclose data when required by law.

5. Data Storage and Security

Data is stored on secured servers. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. API communication uses TLS encryption. We implement rate limiting and access controls to protect your account.

6. Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. After account deletion request, data is permanently removed after a 30-day grace period. AI processing images are stored for up to 90 days, then automatically deleted. Account-linked usage-analytics data may be retained for product analysis.

7. Your Rights

You may: access and export all your data (Settings > Export My Data), correct your profile information at any time, delete your account and all associated data, opt out of non-essential notifications. Data export is provided in JSON format.

8. Children's Privacy

VizRC is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us at [email protected].

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
